The French animated film, A Cat in Paris tells the tale of a little girl named Zoe whose black cat guides her one evening in solving the mystery of some local thefts. It was one of two foreign-language films nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature in the same year, being a first for the Academy Awards. Although it is titled A Cat in Paris, its French title, Une Vie de Chat, translates to “A Cat’s Life”.
