Ferngully: The Last Rainforest is based on a book of the same name by Diana Young. It tells the story of a curious fairy, fruit bat, and a human’s attempt at saving the rainforest. In order to capture the feel in their drawings animators spent time in Australia, which the film’s rainforest is inspired by, with a few elements being computer animated to reduce production time. This film was another a great role by Robin Williams as the voice of Batty Koda.
